Mystifying interpretations of palmistry never cease to amuse us. Palm reading is such an ancient and treasured art that it might have some hidden secrets of human development. From time immemorial, humans are trying to find out the reason of their existence on this planet and the destiny that makes them look different from each other.
Many lines and mounts are studied in palmistry along with the shape and size of the hands. For a very long time, palmists have believed that the small and long, deep and shallow, and straight and crooked lines are connected with our behavior. Palmistry lines including heart and head are the strongest indicators of what we are and how we are.
Head line is the second line from the top of our hand and starts exactly where the life line starts. Have a look at some of the attributes associated with the head line.
  • If the line is straight, the person is intellectually stable and can be really good in worldly matters. He has a balanced personality and no or very little regard for idealism.
  • If the head line is running along with the life line, almost overlapping it for some space, the person may have brain difficulties.
  • If it is sloping down on the mount of moon, the person is imaginative
  • Disconnected and chained head line is an indication of a weak mind and lack of concentration.
  • If the line is strong and deep, the person is broad-minded and generous
Head line is one of the three major lines and thousands of interpretations can be made after studying its characteristics and position.

You got to understand one basic thing that palmistry looks cool and easy till you are looking at your hand only; it gets tricky and complicated once you start observing different hands. The real study of the palmistry can be done by reading hands and not the books; however, a basic knowledge is very much required to get started with your quest, and we are here to help you to get the insights of palmistry.
Travel line is one of those many lines that run on our palms. These are small lines on the opposite side of our thumb. You can look for them starting from the wrists to the heart line. They indicate travel or desire to travel. Many people have these lines on their hands and that does not mean they travel far and long. It simply means that either they travel or desire to travel to fantasized lands.
People who do not have those lines also do not imply that they do not travel at all, but they do not have an interest in traveling. In most of the cases, poverty, health, and other issues handicap the desire to fly.

Palmistry never ceases to surprise us with the knowledge and range of human attributes it covers. Palmistry is a sea of knowledge, where countless and priceless jewels are hidden beneath. One would need a vision and extreme dedication to understand the nuances of interpretations of palmistry lines, mounts, and signs.
Palm reading looks pretty easy and subjective study - it is indeed an easy job to get started with palmistry; however, as you go deeper and farther into the studies of palmistry, you realize the vast potential it has. Different lines are interpreted differently. Some lines can be seen on many hands, whereas some are very rare. The same line with similar attributes can be interpreted differently on two different hands. Lines like intuition can be found rarely and often mistaken as a line of mercury. We will see what this line is all about.
Intuition Line
This appears on the side of our palm. It starts from the mount of moon and ends somewhere near the mount of mercury. Some of you may call it the mercury line. It is very difficult to separate it out from mercury line and the only solution is to look for the bend in the line itself.
What it Tells?
  • It tells the intuitive abilities of a person. It indicates towards the persons ability to judge and estimate his peers.
  • If the line is clear, the person has a great ability to foresee or imagine things and events
  • This line is related to mercury and if the mercury mount is present along with the line, the person is very shrewd.
  • This line, combined with some other attributes like pointed fingers and full mount of moon, indicates that the person is a psycho.
  • Island or a small area enclosed on a line indicates failures and poor success. If the island is at the beginning of the line, it indicates somnambulism or sleep-walking.
There are many such attributes attached with this line. Persons possessing this line make good fortunetellers or mediums. This is a very rare line and seldom you will come across such a hand.

Palmistrylines, Rascette Line

Today, palmistry is a collected wisdom of many centuries about hands. Palmists study dozens of lines and mounts to come to a conclusion. Palmistry lines are of many types and they represent different aspects of your life. They can be interpreted differently by different palmists.
Prediction of the future and especially of our life, has always been a dream of many philosophers and scientists. Palmistry also has its say when it comes to predict the time of death or number of years of the life of a person.
Rascette or rascette line is studied by many. Some say, palm reading is incomplete without reading the rascette. The line on your wrist just below the hand is called rascette. There can be 1 to 4 lines. These lines can tell how long you are going to live.
The first line which is located exactly at the junction of the hand and the wrist is not considered usually for calculation. The other remaining lines are considered in a way that each of them adds around thirty years of life. So if there is only only one line, a person may not live for more than 30 years. Similarly if there are two lines, another 30 years are added.
Broken or chained rascette means a hard labor in a person's life. If the first line is bending upward on the hand, it may reflect sterility or difficulties in childbirth. Lines going into different mounts are interpreted differently.
Many experts have ruled out this kind of practice in palmistry; however, large number of palmists still practice it.

Girdle of Venus

Palmistry, an ancient science and art of reading palms, is still practiced by many palmists and studied by many experts. A mount and a girdle is associated with Venus, the goddess of love.
Palm reading has a long history that makes it difficult to decide which interpretation is right and which one is wrong. Although there are differences in the interpretations, some striking similarities also exit across all the cultures.
Venus, a Roman goddess, is associated with love, beauty, sexual desire, fertility, and sensuality. The Venus girdle is a semi-circular girdle around the mount of Venus. It starts somewhere between the first and the second finger and ends somewhere between the third and forth.
The girdle of Venus is always associated with emotional stability, sensuality, love, chastity, and character. This girdle can tell whether a man is a Casanova or a shy rabbit and whether a woman is passionate and bold or like a sacred prayer.
Not all people have this girdle on their palms and a very few have a sharp and deep girdle. Girdle of Venus is sometimes broken and scattered. If the girdle is broken and scattered in small lines, it shows emotional turbulence, insecurity, and nervousness. These people may have problems related to their sex life. They may indulge themselves in immoral matters.
If the girdle crosses the fate line, the love of your life may change your life forever in terms of status, money, and overall wealth.
Writers, poets, and artists often posses the girdle of Venus. It is a symbol of passion; good or bad.

Palmistry:Fire Hand

Alexander the Great used palmistry in the ancient times to seek the insights of a future of his military personnel. Our hand has too many unique things that differentiate us from the entire world.
Every person comes into this world with unique palmistry lines, shape of palm, mounts associated with different planets, etc. All these different denotations and symbols are studied before coming to a conclusion.

What is Elemental Palmistry?
Elemental palmistry is all about studying the effects of classical elements on people's lives. The shape and condition of your hand decides which element controls your being. The knowledge of palmistry is considered to have travelled from east to west. Few elements are held up by all the traditions including Greek and Indian. Chinese also do very similar interpretations of palms.

What is Fire Hand?
In palmistry, it is considered that the length of the hands decides the time taken to act on thoughts. The fire hand is rectangular in shape and fingers are short, which shows that these people take little time to make their thoughts visible in the physical world.
The fire hand has a box-like, expansive, and oblong (rectangular) palm. The fingers are very short. Such people are stubborn in nature, especially when coupled with bad knuckles. They are enthusiasts and energetic. They are the ones who bring great ideas to life. They always look at the bigger picture and get confused with details.

These people make the biggest decisions in no time and often shift from these decisions very quickly. There is always a very little cooling period. They are impatient and that makes them get bored easily. However, they put a lot of energy and passion behind their thoughts and actions. The passion may not live long, but they are persuasive in nature.

The people with short fingers want everything within no time, which shows impatience. They tend to start a new thing even before finishing the earlier one. They are volatile lovers and are attracted towards the other fire types and some air types. Water or earth types do not suit them.
These people make great speakers. They are polite and gentle in nature and look like an ideal salesperson. They are happy when busy. They can be called jack-of-all-trades.

How to do Palm Reading

Palmistry is an ancient art and for many, a science of foretelling or future characterization. The roots of this art stem from the ancient Indian texts and gypsy stories. It is not hard to understand the concepts of palm reading; however, people spend years to master it.
How to Read Palm?
Usually a man's right hand and woman's left hand are studied for palmistry.
Lines
Different approaches exist in different traditions. Palmists may read them from left to right, or vice-a-versa.
Heart Line: This is the uppermost line on your palm that starts somewhere below the index finger and goes wide across the palm. It reflects the love-life and other emotional aspects of a person. Broken or chained line represents emotional trauma or turbulence.
Head Line: This is the line just below the heart line. It shows mental attributes of a person, such as intellect, learning, communication, etc.
Life Line: This is the most talked-about line among palmists. The line usually starts just above the thumb on the edge of a palm and rests in the wrist, following a semi-circular path. It shows the overall energy levels of a person. It reflects the vitality and liveliness of a person.
There are several other lines read by the palmists, for example, fate line, sun line, etc.
Shapes
Shapes are also an important aspect in palm reading.
Earth: These are broad and ruddy hands. They are square in size.
Water: These are short and oval-shaped hands. They have long and flexible fingers.
Air: These hands exhibit square or rectangular shaped palms. They are often very dry.
Fire: These hands have short palms and short fingers. Pinkish tint is often seen on these palms.
These four basic elements are common in almost all traditions; and they confer their own inherent qualities on the people possessing them. Certain mounds are also studied with shapes and lines for better foretelling.
