Palmistry is a method of counseling that originated over 3000 years ago in India. It's a part of an enormous field of study known as Samudrik Shastra which means the ocean of knowledge. It's a sub section of Samudrik Shastra and deals mainly with the study of hand.

Types of Hands
Hand is said to be from the wrist up to the end of the finger of Saturn. There are different types of hands as per palmistry. They are:

Primary Hand
This type of hand is mainly rude, heavy, and fatty. The formation of the hand is uneven and the fingers also appear the same way. Such individuals are known to be fully civilized, but are completely materialistic. Such people are happy with food, clothes, and a house, as getting these are their main aim. They don’t understand the value of life and remain fully devoid of it. Such individuals come under the category of criminals, as they tend to break the law easily.

Square Hand
There are many knots in this type of hand and it's uneven with prominent bones. There's a special kind of agility in the fingers. Such hands are thinner and less rude than the primary hand. Such individuals are genius and intellectuals.

Ideal Hand
This is known to be the best type of hand and is well formed, soft, and supple. Such hand is neither much wide nor long. Such individuals come to know about their future happenings. They face too many troubles in life, but never budge, rather they move forward constantly.

Long Hand
Such individuals are usually useful to the society and are neither happy nor full of anxiety. They're clever and promising and are practical in their dealings.
These are some types of hands and one common thing in these hands is that they possess both the life line and the heart line.
